[A2] Polymer Materials Science, Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University
The structure and molecular motion of polymer substances are studied using scattering methods such as neutron, X-ray and light with intenion of solving fundamentally important problems in polymer science. The main projects are: the mechanism of structural development in polymer alloys; the directed self-assembling of block copolymers; the hierarchical structure of rubber-filler systems.
