[SS-8] Political and Strategic Discussions on Satellite Technologies (to be discussed in Japanese)

In the satellite technology areas, a big game change is occurring; large constellations of low cost small satellites are being utilized for communication or Earth observation business, and even smaller satellites are beginning to be used for various practical applications and even for deep space missions. In such a trend, new types of satellite technologies are becoming more and more important, including DX (Digital Transformation) for efficient satellite development as well as autonomous satellite operation and onboard data processing technologies, to name a few. In this special session, the activities of ASTEC as to the survey and analysis of the state of the art satellite technologies all over the world, and JAXA’s project to study novel way of satellite development will be introduced, followed by brain storming discussions between the speakers and audience.
