[R2P-08] Possible amorphous mineral included in the Tsuchihashi sericite rock

‘Tsuchihashi Sericite’ is supplied for raw material of china ware. The K2O content of the ore has less than the ideal chemical composition. In order to investigate the reason, precise observation using with AFM and TEM was performed on the sericite particles. Fine granular particles smaller than 100nm were recognized co-existing with platy sericite with the size of 20-60nm in thickness. Although the granular particles include Si and Al, the close composition is not known.
