[R4-06] Carbonation of wollastonite in the presence of carbon dioxide and water vapor
Keywords:wollastonite, carbon dioxide, water vapor, vaterite
We carried out the carbonation of wollastonite in the presence of carbon dioxide and water vapor at 30 °C and 50 or 80 % of humidity up to 200 h. The reaction for the carbonation was conducted in the XRD with relative humidity controller. The carbon dioxide gas was supplied by the mixture of the dry carbon dioxide gas and saturated water vapor (50 or 80%). At 50%, vaterite of calcium carbonate appeared after about 100 h. In the case of 80 %, vaterite was confirmed in the XRD profile after 5 h.
