Color variations of C-type asteroid Ryugu suggest that dark red material was made from bluer and brighter material by space weathering. In order to interpret the Ryugu color variation, we performed He irradiation experiments on several hydrated carbonaceous chondrites. The results indicate that spectral modifications by He exposure depend on He energy and physical properties of hydrous carbonaceous chondrites
