The following analyses reveal the crystallization processes of quartz in a granitic pluton: 1) petrography of the crystal shape and occurrence, 2) characterization of the internal structure based on CL observations, and 3) Determination of crystallization temperature based on TitaniQ thermometry for the CL pattern-specific quartz grains. The case study for the Toki granite revealed that the magmatic quartz crystals are characterized by some patterns of internal structure in the CL observation, which are controlled by temperature and titanium diffusivity in the melt.
