[R7P-02] Serpentinization of peridotite, Oshika Village, Nagano Prefecture, Japan

*Yuya Takeda1, Seiichiro Uehara1 (1. Kyushu Uni. Sci.)

Keywords:serpentinization, native iron

Native iron reported from serpentine veins in peridotite of Oosika Village, Nagan (Sakai & Kuroda, 1983). Serpentine veins were 4 directions from the context of the serpentine vein, and the component minerals of the vein were lizardite, clinochrysotile, brucite, magnetite, and native iron. The veins were mainly composed of serpentine and brucite, and much native iron. In addition, mineral species were symmetrically distributed from the center of the veins and many magnetite and few native iron. Native iron was abounding in the part where brucite and serpentine coexisted.
