[R7P-07] Mineralogical analysis on the initial formation process of hydrothermal chimney sample from the Okinawa Trough

In this study, we analyzed mineral textures within sulfide chimney from Iheya, Okinawa trough by using Optical microscopy, SEM and EBSD method. The dendritic texture with sphalerite and chalcopyrite is the one of characteristic textures of the chimney. This texture was formed by chalcopyrite preferentially growing on the edge of sphalerite crystal.
