Renge metamorphic rocks occur as tectonic blocks in the serpentinite melange in Omi area, and are divided into eclogite (EC) unit and non-EC unit. The results of zircon U-Pb dating lead that in the non-EC unit, zircons in the schists and gabbro showed 2040–320 Ma from the cores and ca. 300 Ma from the rims, and ca. 520 Ma, respectively. In the EC unit, glaucophene-free schist indicated similar zircon ages, while the schists contained zircons with 2360–380 Ma cores and ca. 350 Ma rims. The results provided the possibility of thier different origin and metamorphic tectonics.
