[MS3-02] A drug-repositioning study of bone anabolic reagents

Teriparatide:human parathyroid hormone-(1-34) active peptide, and Abloparatide: human parathyroid hormone-related protein derivative are categorized in PTH1R-agonist. These two drugs are clinically used to treat severe osteoporosis as bone-anabolic reagents. Although physiological roles of PTH and PTHrP appear to be well established, their pharmacological roles imply open question. Our research team have uncovered that Teriparatide (PTH) exserted anti-skeletal pain effect through sensory neurons. In this talk, I will introduce our current research aiming for drug-repositioning of PTH1R-agonists.
