[EL4] Recent progress in thyroid cancer

^○Jae Hoon Chung (Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Medicine, Thyroid Center, Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea)

He is a chairman of Department of Medicine & professor of Endocrinology & Thyroid Center at Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He graduated Seoul National University, College of Medicine in 1985, and got PhD at same university. He completed residency of Internal Medicine & fellowship of Endocrinology at Seoul National University Hospital from 1985 to 1993. He served as a physician of Korean Army & Air Force from 1989 to 1991 (reserved captain). He worked as a research fellow at NIH in 1993 and 2000, and Ohio University in 2001, respectively under the guidance of Dr. Leonard D. Kohn. He was a chief of Division of Endocrinology & Thyroid Center at Samsung Medical Center from 2005 to 2017. He was a chairperson of Korean Thyroid Association from 2011 to 2015. He has been working as an editor of Endocrine Journal, Japan since 2013. He published more than 280 peer reviewed articles, and 11 literatures. He has received 13 scientific awards. His main research topic is translational & clinical research of thyroid cancer.
