[MP-20] A case of Paget-Schroetter syndrome
A 50-years old man with a history of gout presented to the cardiology department of our hospital with pain and swelling of his left arm two week ago. He was a professional driver of excavator. The pain and swelling were worsening gradually. On physical examination, his left arm was more significantly swelling than right arm. Vital signs were unremarkable. We performed CT scan of the chest and upper limbs, and it revealed that there was the thrombus in his left subclavian vein. At first, we treated him with direct oral anticoagulant therapy, and percutaneous angioplasty for his left subclavian vein. After our treatment, his symptoms were improved, but thrombus remained. Paget-Schroetter syndrome is uncommon disease, and standard treatment has not yet been established. We reported this case with some literature review.
