[MP-6] Clinical Impact of Activities of Daily Living at Discharge in Rutherford 5 Critical Limb
Ischemia Patients After Endovascular Therapy

Yasunari Sakamoto (Saiseikai Yokohama City Eastern Hospital)

Background: Relationship between activities of daily living (ADL) and clinical outcomes of critical limb ischemia (CLI) patients after endovascular therapy (EVT) is not well evaluated. Subject and Method: From April 2007 to May 2016, serial 186 patients 199 limbs admitted our hospital presenting with Rutherford class 5 CLI and had successful EVT during the hospitalization. Study subject was 198 patients 211 limbs those divided into 2 groups based on Barthal index (BI) at discharge (BI≥60 group:107 patients 120 limbs and BI<60 group:79 patients 91 limbs) and the outcomes were evaluated retrospectively. Primary outcome measure was amputation free survival (AFS) and was calculated using Kaplan-Meier method. Result: Five-years AFS was BI≥60 group: 59% vs BI<60: 18% (p<0.001). Conclusion: ADL at discharge based on BI<60 was associated with the poor prognosis of Rutherford 5 CLI patients after hospitalization with EVT.
