本講演では、異なる機序で骨微細構造破綻を呈する骨疾患として、骨粗鬆症と大理石骨病、オステオカルシン遺伝子欠損に着目し、その配向性変化機構と骨機能発現について、金属材料工学的かつ生物学的視点から述べる。
