組織をα₂/γラメラからβ/γラメラ組織まで幅広く制御したTiAl基合金の破壊靱性と組織因子の関係を調査した．結果，α₂/γラメラはβ/γラメラと比較して高いき裂発生および伝播抵抗を有することが明らかとなった．
