[PI-2-3] Comparing the consideration of service delivery by school-based occupational therapist:A literature review
Inclusive education has development in Taiwan for decades,multi professionals into school setting works independent.Most reference indicated the special needs children can be enhance participate through the collaborate service. However some of studies showed that the collaborate service is hard to perfectly perform in Kindergarten or other school setting. Such as the service hous and team support. The purpose of this artical was to review the studies about which factor affect the school based occupational therapists select direct service or collaborate service.Search from Pubmed and Cochrane datebases about the key words include school based occupational therapist and service display.The role of occupational therapist is well known in fine motor and handwriting development skill,the preschool teachers usually seek for the solutions from occupational therapists. Also the better communication between teachers and occupational therapists when the teachers understand the profession of occupational therapy and service delivery models. The advantage of inclusive education is the special need children should be educated and participated in the most curriculum.The types of diagnosis of children and confidence while discusses with teachers also the training are influence of choose the service models.Recent recommendations of the World Health Organization and UNESCO suggest that every school should be a health promoting school and provided intervention guidelines for the global standards for health promoting schools WHO,2021. The factors effect the selections of which service by school based occupational therapist are the the ability of consultant and demonstrate teaching skill and positive attitude and communicate with teachers.This findings are quesionaire studies so that suggest the future study could be structure combine pull out and collaborate service.
