The session focuses on the phenomena occurring in an astrophysical wind and its sphere of influence, e.g., acceleration of an astrophysical wind, its interaction with an interstellar medium, disturbances of astrophysical wind and the associated response of planetary magnetosphere, propagation and transport of cosmic rays, etc. This session is a part of 'plasma astrophysics joint session of the three academic societies'.
