We provide an opportunity for senior high school students to give their presentations in the conference and to have discussions with them. This session has been presented as a public outreach session since 2006. The JpGU Publicity and Outreach Committee members are conveners of this session.

【概要】
鹿児島県のシンボルである桜島の噴火は，様々な被害を及ぼしている。鹿児島気象台では1m2当たりに換算し積もった灰の量を降灰量(g)としているが，空気中の降灰濃度は測れておらず，気象庁も着手したばかりの研究である。そこで，我々錦江湾高校化学研究部では桜島の降灰量を測定する装置（以下：降灰君）を作製・検証し，降灰量測定を行った。また，降灰濃度の測定の考察も行った。
