Senior high school students show poster presentations on topics in fields of earth and planetary science. We provide an opportunity for senior high school students to give their presentations in the conference and to have discussions with them. This session has been presented as a public outreach session since 2006. The JpGU Publicity and Outreach Committee members are conveners of this session.

[O04-P71] Occurrence Conditions of Localized Heavy Rain by Meteorological Data by means of Digital Instrument Shelters

【概要】
　ゲリラ豪雨は東京など都市圏で多発し被害を及ぼしているが、その実態はよく分かっていない。そこで、都内数か所の都立高校に設置されているデジタル百葉箱の観測データを活用し、風向の変化、気温の変化、ゲリラ豪雨をもたらした雲の動きに着目して、ゲリラ豪雨の発生する条件について研究を行った。
　その結果、雨雲が発生、発達している地点の方向に風が吹いていることから、雨雲の発達には上昇気流が発生していることが分かった。また、気温が低い郊外よりも気温が高い都心部で雨雲が発生していることから、ヒートアイランド現象が関係していると考えられた。今後、検討事例を増やし、ヒートアイランド現象との関連性をより深く研究したい。
