Micro-seismicity in the Northern Kinki District is active. However we don not know the cause and the relation between these seismic activities and crustal structure or active faults around there clearly. In the Northern Kinki District, we are carrying out a dense array seismic observation using 83 temporal stations since 2008. The average station interval at the center of the Tamba plateau is about 5km, so we expect to know the seismic structure beneath this region with higher resolutions than that derived from the permanent stations. In this study, we estimate high-resolution seismic velocity structure using data from these dense observations. Based on the results of 3D seismic velocity tomography, we discuss about relations between the seismic activities and other geophysical and geological features of this area.
