[M-IS24] Gas hydrates in environmental-resource sciences

Thu. May 28, 2015 2:15 PM - 4:00 PM 102B (1F)

Convener:*Hitoshi Tomaru(Department of Earth Sciences, Chiba University), Akihiro Hachikubo(Environmental and Energy Resources Research Center, Kitami Institute of Technology), Sumito Morita(Institute for Geo-Resources and Environment, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), Chair:Kida Masato(National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology)

An increasing number of researches focusing on natural gas hydrates have recently been conducted from the environmental and resource scientific viewpoints. This session aims to share and discuss the latest research results to examine the nature and potential of gas hydrate in the past-present-future both in the environmental and resource fields. Because the researches on gas hydrates are interdisciplinary, broad topics will be presented in this session.

2:15 PM - 2:30 PM

*Michihiro MURAOKA1, Michica OHTAKE1, Naoko SUSUKI1, Yoshitaka YAMAMOTO1, Kiyohumi SUZUKI2, Tomoya TSUJI3 (1.Methane Hydrate Research Center, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, 2.Methane Hydrate Research and Development Division, Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation, 3.College of Industrial Technology, Nihon University)
