Micro-satellite with weight of 50 kg is considered to take an important roles in the near future because of its low cost and short period for development. This methodology will be useful both in developing and advanced countries. Here we discuss how to accelerate the development of micro-satellite and onboard advanced sensors, and how to establish a community, named Asian Micro-satellite Consortium, to promote the international collaboration in development, operation and data utilization.
