[S-VC49] Hydrothermal systems of volcanoes

Mon. May 25, 2015 2:15 PM - 4:00 PM 102B (1F)

Convener:*Yasuhiro Fujimitsu(Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University), Tsuneomi Kagiyama(Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University), Takeshi Ohba(Department of chemistry, School of Science, Tokia University), Chair:Yasuhiro Fujimitsu(Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University), Shogo Komori(National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology)

There is a diversity of hydrothermal systems between magmas and the ground surface in various geoscientific environments. Understanding of the hydrothermal systems contributes to understanding of the earth systems, and is essential for utilization of geothermal energy and prediction of volcanic eruption. In this session, we will discuss the topics on subsurface structures and heat and fluid flows of "hydrothermal systems of volcanoes" from the perspectives of geophysics, geochemistry, geology and geothermal reservoir engineering. Any research approaches, theoretical, observational and experimental, are welcome.
