In this session that consists of solicited presentations, Japanese earth and planetary science activities stimulated by and benefitted from NASA space missions will be reviewed. The topics include research opportunities enabled thanks to the data from NASA missions, contribution from Japan that enhanced outputs from NASA missions, and correlative study on data from JAXA and NASA space missions. The presenters are assigned to point out lessons learnt in the course of research and to raise issues that need improvement so that future collaboration in this line will be even more smooth and fruitful.
