Heavy rainfall on 9-11 September, 2015 gave flood and slope failures that also caused human damages, houses inundated or broken, agricultural damages and so on in Ibaraki, Tochigi, Fukushima and Miyagi Prefecture in Japan. To consider the disaster with many damages from many-sided view, it is desired to share the results of analyses and comprehensions about characteristics and condition of the disaster, not only from natural scientific approaches such as meteorology, geology, geomorphology, hydrology but also from social sciences and humanities such as regional history, society, taking measures by administrations. Presentations are needed to arrange various knowledge or contribute future countermeasures against heavy rainfall disaster, such as the studies considering how natural phenomena occurred with heavy rainfall disasters, why the disaster occurred in the areas, whether various predictions were matched with the occurred disaster conditions, how effects the disaster gave on modern regional society, what profitable lessons as future disaster prevention and countermeasures at natural disaster strikes.
