[M-IS09] Gas hydrates in environmental-resource sciences

Mon. May 23, 2016 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM 101B (1F)

Convener:*Hitoshi Tomaru(Department of Earth Sciences, Chiba University), Akihiro Hachikubo(Environmental and Energy Resources Research Center, Kitami Institute of Technology), Sumito Morita(Institute for Geo-Resources and Environment, Geological Survey of Japan, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology), Chair:Naoto Ishida(Gas Hydrate Research Laboratory, Organization for the Strategic Coordination, Meiji University)

An increasing number of researches focusing on natural gas hydrates have recently been conducted from the environmental and resource scientific viewpoints. This session aims to share and discuss the latest research results to examine the nature and potential of gas hydrate in the past-present-future both in the environmental and resource fields. Because the researches on gas hydrates are interdisciplinary, broad topics will be presented in this session.
