This session focuses on studies of the physics and chemistry of Earth and planetary materials (not only crystals, but also amorphous materials and melts) based on a variety of methods and approaches such as X-ray diffractometry, FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy, electron microscopy and computer simulations.
