[HRE20-P01] The cost of CO2 capture and storage

*Yasuhide Nakagami1, Jyunichi Shimizu1, Ichiro Saito1, Masato Takagi1 (1.Research institute of innovative technology for the earth)

Keywords:CCS, cost, CO2 storage

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) has been widely recognized as a key technology for mitigating global climate change, but the relatively high cost of current CCS systems remains a major barrier to its widespread deployment at power plants and other industrial facilities. The objective of my presentation is to assess the current costs of CO2 capture and storage (CCS) for new fossil fuel power plants.
