[AHW24-07] Hydrological changes related to past earthquakes

★Invited Papers

*Tsutomu Sato1 (1.Geological Survey of Japan, AIST)

Keywords:groundwater, earthquake, the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake

Many hydrological changes have been reported in relation to past earthquakes. As for the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, various changes such as increase and decrease of groundwater and hot spring discharge amount were also observed (e.g. Manga and Wang, 2015). In this presentation I will review changes in groundwater caused by past earthquakes and compare them with changes observed at the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake.
