From 23rd Dec. 2015 to 11th Dec. 2016, we conducted a re-occuaption cruise (MR15-05) along the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) Hydrographic Plan (WHP) I10 section in the eastern Indian Ocean. As this section is located where it crosses the Indonesian Throughflow (IT), decadal-scale changes in physical and biogeochemical propeties in this region impact a basin-scale material cycle. In the presentation, we introduce results obtained in MR15-05 and what we expect in the cruise by the R/V HAKUHO MARU.
