[MZZ40-P04] Cosmic and individual dimensions on meaning of life

*Shigeyuki Aoki1 (1.School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Aizu)

Keywords:philosophy of earth and planetary science, philosophy of science, philosophy

There are two types of thought on “meaning of life”, whether implicitly or explicitly. One is cosmic or global dimension on meaning of life, while the other is individual or local dimension. Researchers on this field widely acknowledge these two types or levels on meaning of life, however no substantial study has been made on the cosmic dimension (Seachris 2013, Metz 2013). This presentation explores on how many types of “meaning of life” have been developed, and on how they are related to the local dimension.
