Regarding the park "Geopark" with academically valuable topography and geological formations, the San - in Sea Coast Geopark was registered last autumn from the domestic accreditation body · Japan Geopark Committee, due to lack of inter - regional cooperation and inadequate management system etc We received a warning of re-certification with. It is undergoing a turning point before the milestone of 10 years since its first recognition as a Japanese Geopark at the end of 2008.

After certification at the San'in Coast GP, various community activities were born, and many local media were featured. However, as the activities of each group matures, on the contrary, temperature differences among groups and lack of cooperation have come to be noticeable. The background is that the awareness of the Geopark is still low, and there is a point that economic effects as expected are not seen. In addition, there are many stakeholders who talk about the necessity of a coordinator who is a compiler.

On the other hand, Geopark activity in the area is a point, but it is progressing steadily. NPO corporation of Genbudo Park (Toyooka city, Hyogo prefecture) attracts bus tours and conducts paid guidance activities, and at the Yumura hot spring in Hyogo prefecture, the inn is tackling the guide activities as an innovative material.
