I experienced two major earthquakes in the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Eearthquake, the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake. They had a big influence from them on education.

Therefore I distributed questionnaire survey about natural disasters for science teachers all over Japan.

We checked how science teachers experienced as individuals during the big earthquake, relationships with educational practices on natural disasters, handling of earthquake teaching materials, handling of radioactive contamination at the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake , etc.

Results were classified into three groups of disaster areas of major earthquake (Kobe city and Fukushima prefecture) and other areas and they were examined.
