[HDS11-02] Proposal for technical issues to advance sediment disasters prevention

★Invited Papers

Keywords:sediment disaster, future technical challenge, prediction

In the last several decades, both structural and non-structural countermeasures has been adapted to prevention sediment disasters in Japan, Thus, numbers of people who killed and missed by sediment disasters had been declined. However, recently, the large scale rainfall event often occurred. We had several serious disasters in the last decade. So, numbers of people who killed and missed by sediment disasters did not decreased in the last decade. Here we review current countermeasures techniques and discuss about future challenge to advance sediment disasters.
