[O02-P10] Research in Jupiter

*Hiroto Tokuda1, *Yuka Sako1 (1.Kagoshima Gyokuryu High School Science Club Astronomical Group)

Keywords:Jupiter, Flash phenomenon, Development figure, the acceleration of gravity

Observation and recording of Jupiter was conducted continually for 3 years in order to capture the changes of it’s surface phenomena. Flash phenomene on Jupiter were finally recorded for the first time because of improvement in photographic technology. Additionally, a composite photograph of Jupiter was produced and a development figure was made. These were then used to identify patterns on the surface of Jupiter. Based on the data and the calculation results that were obtained from the Galileo satellite observation, calculation of the acceleration of gravity on Jupiter and the energy of a collision between Io and Jupiter were begun, but not completed.
