Geopark must take the document evaluation and on-site evaluation at the time of new certification and recertification. In the judgment of Japanese Geopark, Japan Geopark committee are currently complying with the content of the evaluation by the UNESCO Global Geopark, and the self-evaluation sheet of UGGp is also used as a reference. Up to this situation, there was accumulation of discussion among researchers and geopark management officers. Looking back on the discussion so far, I will clarify what has been evaluated by the Japan Geopark system over the past 10 years.
