Waterfalls are the prominent object not only in tourism but also in science and art. Both the artistic expression and scientific recognition of waterfalls have been developed. Here we focus on the waterfall as the point of contact between art and geoscience, discussing the expression of landscapes based on the collaboration among different points of views (art and geomorphology). In particular, the imagination and expression by kids are presented, together with the realistic expression (three-dimensional measurement) of the morphology of waterfalls. Various recognitions of waterfalls by artists, climbers and religious, as well as those in old tales and legends, are reviewed and reorganized through the presentation.
