[PEM12-15] International Space Weather Activities and Opportunities for Collaboration
★Invited Papers
キーワード:space weather, research-to-operations
International efforts to advance space weather research and services are continuing to progress. For example, the recently published COSPAR Space Weather Roadmap identifies core research areas where progress could lead to improved service capabilities. United Nations-level organizations, including the World Meteorological Organization, the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space are implementing space weather activities, all motivated by the international consensus that collaboration is essential to achieving the required preparedness to space weather. In the U.S., the National Space Weather Action Plan directs effort to increase international collaboration, and new research efforts are underway to improve operational services. This presentation will review international space weather activities and explore collaboration opportunities with Japan and the international space weather community.
