Keywords:space and planetary science, roadmap

In pace and planetary science community scientists observe the earth’s atmosphere, space and other planets with spacecrafts and telescopes, analyze extraterrestrial materials in laboratory, conduct numerical simulations with computers, and pursue the fundamental physical and chemical processes which cause those various phenomena, in order to understand the essence of solar system and its evolution. The most prominent characteristics of space and planetary science are that this research field is closely related to space exploration costing huge money and that the targeted phenomena in planets are the same as targets in the earth which are dealt in other JpGU sections. Here we discuss our roadmap, considering space missions which is not the subject of the dream roadmap and the possible cooperation with other sections in JpGU.
