[S-GD02] Engineering Application of Space Geodesy
Tue. May 28, 2019 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Poster Hall (International Exhibition Hall8, Makuhari Messe)
convener:Seiichi Shimada(Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, University of Tokyo Nippo Co. Ltd.), Shuichi Rokugawa(The University of Tokyo), Basara Miyahara(GSI of Japan), Toshiaki Tsujii(Department of Aerospace Engineering, Osaka Prefecture University)
In the space geodetic community in Japan, geoscience and other scientific researches, such as seismology, volcanology and meteorology, are predominant. However, engineering application researches are also actively conducted in academic societies abroad. Recent advances in GNSS and InSAR measurement techniques are progressing towards widely engineering usage of space geodetic measurements even in domestic Japan. In addition, the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) is about to shift from conventional leveling survey to space geodetic surveying such as GNSS levelling, and the space geodetic method could spread rapidly even in many engineering fields using conventional leveling survey. In this session, we introduce advanced engineering research using space geodetic measurements such as ground measurement / self-driving in particular to young earth scientists. We will also welcome a wide range of general presentations on measurements/research in engineering fields using space geodetic technology.
