[AOS11-05] Establishment of new curriculum at Biosphere 2

We are currently planning to start up a new practical training programme at Biosphere 2 under a contract between Kyoto University and Arizona State University.
Biosphere 2 was established in1991 and was designed to produce a closed-complete ecosystem in the institute. Although the ecosystem-establishment was not fully successful, the institute still has been used for various research such as ecology, terraforming, and closed-environental impact to human health.
Our practical training programme will include hands-on training for exoplanet observation, and lectures about water-cycle and atmospheric science.
Although the programme is going to be carried out in August 2019, the pilot programme were put into practice with ten participants including lecturers and students from the states and Japan.
At the conference, we would give a presentation about the detailed programme schedule and expected educational and academic results from this programme.
