Keywords:Eastern Indian Ocean, Observations

R/V Hakuho-Maru cruise (KH-18-6) was conducted from Nov. 6 (leaving from Phuket) to Dec. 29 (Arriving at Fremantle) to facilitate integrated physical, biogeochemical, and ecosystem researches in the eastern Indian Ocean, which is a core research project under EIOURI and IIOE-2. The first leg occupied the 88E section from the Bay of Bengal down to 20S, while the second leg observed the region between the Java Island and northwestern Australia. During these legs, measurements of physical, chemical, biological, and ecological parameters were taken place by multiple equipment such as CTD casts, water sampling, LADCP, net observations, turbulence measurements. This presentation introduce summary of observations conducted during the cruise and highlights some preliminary results, together with the basic conditions during the observations.
