[MGI32-P01] Photography in geomorphology
Keywords:photography, landscape, geomorphological process
Geomorphology is a study of landforms and the photographs of landscapes are generally regarded as an essential component of geomorphological studies. The author introduces some of its photographic works of landscape capturing with academic descriptions, which are also potentially effective in the dissemination of geomorphological knowledge and thinking to the public. The technique of photography required for the geomorphological purposes are not necessarily to be much advanced, but both basic and advantageous photographic skills are recommended to have for geomorphologists because the presentations will become richer if they have advanced skills. The author also seeks the opportunities to link the professional photographers and geomorphologists to have a better understanding of landform developments for general people.
