Japan is a disaster-prone country and there are many variety of natural hazards. The hazards and degree of the risk are quite different in individual small area depend on geography and the site of disaster source. Disaster management for individual family is necessary to protect citizens from disasters. Recent examples of disaster reduction activities in local community and school will be presented.
