[G01-P08] RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DISASTER EDUCATION FOCUSING ON GEOGRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The reason why disaster education is implemented in social studies education is that natural disasters are caused by natural phenomena affecting our daily life. Therefore, unless you know the mechanism of modern society, you can not understand the mechanism by which natural phenomena progress to natural disasters. It is important for disaster prevention measures to raise the ability to assume the occurrence of a disaster. For that, it is necessary to be familiar with the mechanism that supports modern society and the geographical conditions of the region.
The hazard map is a tool to understand geographical conditions and grasp the vulnerability in modern society and should contribute to the maturation of disaster prevention measures, but it is not fully utilized. Disaster prevention education has not established a valid method.The purpose of this research is to be familiar with the geographical conditions of the area and to propose a method for transferring regional culture as disaster education . Specifically, we are attempting to create short videos using children as a way to unconsciously input the geographical conditions of the area, even for people who are not particularly interested in disasters and areas.
