Port and Airport Research Institute (PARI) has measured daily beach profiles since 1986 at the Hasaki coast of Japan. This long-term and high-time-resolution beach profile data is used to understand the nearshore processes and predict the future beach morphological change. The talk will be about the long-term beach observation data and the future projection of the shoreline change in response to SLR and wave climate change under global climate change. Long-term beach observation data available at the other beaches will also be introduced.
