[HGM04-02] Verification a new control device of blown sand transport rate by wind tunnel experiments
Keywords:a water-pool method for reducing blown sand transport rate, wind tunnel experiment, saltation particle, Tottori Sand Dunes
A new water-pool device for reducing blown sand transport rate was proposed from a view point of saltating particle motion. Wind duct experiments were conducted to check sediment trap efficiencies of a proposed device. In our experimental conditions, maximum wind velocity: 12.9 m/s, it worked well: reducing blown sand transport rate less than 6 % within 4.55 m distance. We estimated that the least length of the device is 11.3 m at 18.0 m/s wind condition, which is almost maximum in Tottori Sand Dunes.
