[MGI37-P14] Visualization of Himawari-8 observation data using high resolution animation: The case studies of CEReS, Chiba University, Japan

Hiamwari-8 called as third generation geostationary satellite, equipped with a multispectral imager with a higher spatial resolution and a rapid observation frequency. The observation data amount is very large, not only handled as a still image, be handled and treated as an animation is useful to understand the observation event. In this presentation, in order to make full use of the advantages of wide-area high-definition observation data, we introduce the processing of animation for real-time monitoring display with 7K / 6K high-definition display consisting of multiple 4K monitors at Chiba University. We convert the case on environmental issues and notable weather phenomena in high-resolution video, and upload to YouTube. We also refer to efforts to educate and publicity of satellite observation cases.
