[MIS06-01] Geopark's response to conservation of geosites from natural hazards

*Kuniyasu Mokudai1, Shuichi Hasegawa2 (1.Japan Geoservice Incorporated, 2.Kagawa Univ.)

Keywords:geopark, geoconservation, natural hazard

Various natural hazards such as floods, slope failures, earthquake motions, etc. occur in the Japanese islands. Such natural hazards greatly affect the state of geosite. The Geopark performs activities in the event of a natural hazard, but its know-how has not accumulated. At Shikoku Seiyo Geopark, the Seiyo City needed to do disaster restoration work during the western Japan heavy rain in 2018. Therefore, it was difficult to transmit information and preserve the geosite as a geopark.
