The Shinji Lake Nakaumi Geopark, Shimane Peninsula, has been certified as a Japan Geopark for the third year. The Geopark certification in Shimane Prefecture will be second after the Oki Global Geopark. Although the popularity of the Oki Geopark has been recognized by the prefectural residents, the Shinji Lake Nakaumi is still strong in the Shimane Peninsula. In conjunction with cognitive activities, the Promotion Council is strongly required to utilize geoparks and to promote educational activities. The 18th Annual Science Festival for Youth at the Shimane Convention, the booth of the Shimane Peninsula and the Shinji Lake Nakaumi Geopark exhibited in Shimane Prefecture, the booth of the "Shinji Lake, the birth of the Izumo plain" and it is compatible to, 360 × 270 × By making the basin topography of the Hiikawa and Shinmon River with the sand in the mold of 120cm, fixing the watering hose to the headwaters of the two rivers, and continuing watering, the sediment is gradually deposited in the waters sandwiched between the Chinese mountains and the Shimane Peninsula, according to the sedimentary experiment by running water. It is the one to understand the state that the Shinji Lake is formed with the passage of time while observing the process that the Izumo plain is done. The west side of Izumo Taisha is a plain and it is not a sea area. The effects of the eruption of Mijar volcano, located in the Kamimon Basin, cannot be ignored. Photos and materials of the Shinji Lake Nakaumi of the geopark that the Izumo plain was formed between the Shimane Peninsula and the Chugoku Mountains located in the north by the volcanic activity of Mt. Hiikawa, the Kamikadawa River, the granite of the Chugoku Mountains, and the Sanjar Mountain which formed the Izumo plain known for Tsukiji Matsu The experiment was performed while contrasting it with the rock sample.
